Introduction
Joan of Arc lead Prince Charles to be crowned king. Joan, a peasant girl lead her kingdom of France to victory against the English in the 100 year war. A saint , excellent warrior, Joan was a girl who exceeded expectations.

Childhood
Joan of Arc lived a casual childhood. Joan of Arc was born January 6, 1412 the day of The feast of Epiphany. Her father was known by many names such as Jacques d’ Arc and Tart. Joan’s mother was called Isabelle and Romèe. The d’ Arc family were peasants in the village of Domrèmy in eastern France. Joan’s baptism was not recorded. Her father had a dream that Joan went to war. When he woke up, he told her brothers to kill Joan if that happened and if they would not he would do so himself. She lived on a farm, and even though she had no schooling she had a very high level of intelligence. Even with an ordinary childhood, Joan had an extraordinary life.
Early Adulthood
Joan of Arc was said to be delusional in her teenage years. Joan claimed to see St. Michael talk to her often. She claimed St. Michael was followed by haloed angeles. According to Joan St. Michael would tell her to join and fix the war. The visions started at approximately the age of 13 and Joan started trusting these voices at age 16. After joining the French Army, Joan asked twice before allowed to command a troop. She was tested if she was loyal by the prince. The Prince dressed in commoner’s clothing and asked a commoner to dress in his clothes. The commoner dressed as the Prince was asked to sit in the King’s throne. Joan was not fooled a second and bowed immediately towards Prince Charles.In Joan's delusions were said to save France

In the age between 16 and 19 is when Joan accomplished her goals. Joan of Arc broke the English siege in Orleans in ten days. Although Joan was commander of the French Army, Joan did not fight in any of the battles.At first the French commanders did not obey Joan’s orders, because they thought she was deluded, but when the realized her methods they thought her ideas were wonderful. Joan defeated many small battles along the way to crown. Prince Charles. She stood next to Prince Charles while he was being crowned. Soon after Joan was eager to free Paris from the English. During the battle Joan was wounded and taken prisoner by the Burgundians. She was turned into the English three days later. Joan was worshiped by France during the 100 year war.

Joan was taken to trial where Joan tried to slap a Scottish soldier. Joan was said to be crying while being burned. Joan was burned at the stake May 30, 1431. Being burned at the stake is being tied to a wooden stake and burned. Joan’s ashes were poured in the English channel. Her family asked for a retrial for Joan in 1455, 24 years after she died. Pope Allistus III pronounced Joan innocent. Pope Pius X beatified her in 1909, 11 years later in 1920 Pope Benedict XV declared Joan a saint. Joan was declared a saint 489 years after she died. France holds a feast every year on her death day to show honor. France worships her now just as much as they did back in 1429.

Joan of Arc proved to her family and all of France that she was a loyal and brave warrior. Her siege on The Hundred Year War affected France greatly by releasing France from England's grasp.She truly was a great influence on France.
